Like most great builds, Moduon did not start in a corporate boardroom - it started out of frustration while camping with an off-road trailer on loan from a family member.
We decided to buy an off-road camping trailer and quickly realised our choices were to buy a new overpriced mass-produced trailer where we still need to add on and modify to suit our needs or to buy second-hand and weed out gremlins, still having to modify to suit our needs. To me safety was one of the top priorities, having worked in the industry of manufacturing trailers before. Every second-hand trailer we looked at I just knew I would be replacing axles, couplers or rims. A few even showed previosly repaired cracks on the chassis frame...
As a Mechanical Engineer, I looked at my wife and half-jokingly said "I can build this better and cheaper myself". Two years of on and off again CAD designing and two months of building, the Moduon M1 was born.
